Er erfährt aber gleichzeitig, wie schön unsere reale Welt sein kann und dass es sich lohnt, nie aufzugeben, sich nie zu ergeben. Gerade weil es keine Welt ohne Trübsal, ohne Höhen und Täler, ohne Freud und Leid gibt, haben wir uns diesen Winden des Lebens zu beugen ohne dabei zu brechen.  Die Idee zum Handlungsort verdankt der Autor seiner Mutter, die als Redakteurin tätig conflict und mehrere Jahre in Paris lebte, aber auch eigenen Erlebnissen in Frankreich; einem Land, zu dem der Autor eine besondere Beziehung pflegt.
